A duel, best of three rounds. Your rival has your exact moves: slash, dash and parry. Between rounds it tells you what it has learned about you, and then it uses it.
Slash three times in a row for a combo; the last hit does double damage. Dash to slip out of reach. Parry just as a blade swings to stagger the attacker and open them up.
Keyboard: WASD or arrows move. Slash J, Dash K, Parry L (or left and right click). Esc pauses.
Touch: left thumb moves, buttons on the right.
Gamepad or arcade stick: A slash, B dash, X parry, Start pauses. Press Back/Select on the title screen to remap.
Win duels back to back. Your longest streak is saved, and the rival keeps learning for as long as you keep playing.
