What's new around here.

- New game: quiet contract. A stealth job seen from above, on the ninth floor of the Harlow hotel. Your target walks the same loop all evening: suite, balcony, bar, lobby. Borrow a staff or security uniform to go where the suit cannot, stay out of the sight cones, and arrange an accident if you can: there is rat poison in the kitchen and a wrench in maintenance. Then walk out. You are ranked on how quietly you did it, and your best rank and time are saved. Plays with a keyboard, a touchscreen or a gamepad. No sound in this one yet.

- New game: tall grass. A sword duel, best of three, against a rival with your exact moves: slash, dash and parry. Between rounds it tells you what it has noticed about how you fight, and then it fights that way. Win duels back to back for a streak. Plays with a keyboard, a touchscreen, or a gamepad or arcade stick.

- New game: garden. A small cottage garden to keep, walk-around and in three dimensions. Tap where you want to go, pick a tool and tap a bed: till, plant, water, weed, mow, prune, shoo the bugs. Twenty-three things to grow, from daisies and carrots to an apple orchard, and a seed stand by the gate that trades three of anything for two of something you have not grown yet. Days pass, the weather turns, rain waters everything for you, and the garden keeps growing a little while you are away. Made with parents in mind: no score to chase, just a garden.

- site: the about page intro and support note are now one line each, the same wording on every site.

- twofold: the poker machine, by request, our take on double deuce poker: five-card draw against a pay table with the twos wild, and every deuce in a winning hand doubles the pay (two deuces make it four times, four deuces sixteen). Bet one to five, tap the cards to hold, draw. The book says which cards to keep if you want a nudge. Chips only, and the machine is a generous one.
- cribbage: the two-hand game with a wooden board on the felt. Six cards, two to the crib, cut for the starter, peg the play (fifteens, pairs, runs, thirty-one and the go), then the show counts itself out loud the way a player would: fifteen two, fifteen four, a pair for six. First to 121. Play the computer or host a table for the family; this one seats two.
- poker: Texas hold 'em, the first request to come back from sharing the card games. No limit, everyone starts with a thousand chips, the blinds go up every eight hands, and the last one with chips wins. Fold, check, call, or open the raise row for plus, minus, half the pot, the pot and all in. Play the computer or host a table for the family, same as spades.
- american mah jongg: the four-player American game: jokers, the Charleston, calls for pungs, kongs and quints, joker swaps, and a card of thirty-eight hands (our own, in the League's style) with a button that shows which hands you are closest to. Play the computer or host a table for the family, same as spades.
- tile looks: both mahjongs can wear picture tiles (fruit, animals and sea creatures with the number in the corner) or big numbers instead of the classic Chinese faces. Pick one in the rules panel; it is remembered for both games.
- mahjong solitaire: the other mahjong, the tile-matching one. Pair up open tiles to clear the turtle, or the tower on a phone held upright. Hint, shuffle and undo when you need them, every deal can be finished, and the same music, night mode and chill mode as the rest of the family table.
Sep 5, 2026
- site: the front page is a compact grid now. Twenty one games no longer need a long scroll: a tile each, grouped into games, zen, and the family table, with the favorites up top.
- Two new games for the card table: spades and mahjong. Both play against the computer, and both have a family table: host one, read the code to your people or send them the invite link, and they sit down from their own phones. Empty seats play themselves.
- spades: partnership rules, nil bids, bags, first to 500. Tap a card to raise it, tap again to play it.
- mahjong: Hong Kong style with flowers, pung, chow and kong claims, and fan scoring with the winning hand laid out at the end of every deal. A short game is one round of the wind.
- Five more for the family table, by request. hearts, dominoes and thirty-one seat four and have the same family table as spades: host, share the code, empty seats play themselves. blackjack is you against the house with chips that are only chips, and solitaire is Klondike the way the office computer had it: draw one or three, undo, and the cards bounce when you win.
- late nights: every table game has music, night mode and chill mode buttons under rules. Music is a soft ambient bed, night mode warms the whole screen for a dark room, chill mode turns it all on at once.

- New game, new site: mek. A free top-down game about a tiny mech. Walk, boost, aim and shoot: knock the sphere into a net, outplay a rival, or bring down a titan. It outgrew this place and has its own home at mekgame.io, and the about page links it.

- bowling: the alley went cosmic. Blacklight everywhere, a glossy midnight lane with neon reflections, glowing pins, sparks off every hit, and confetti when you strike. Same sixty feet, same throw, same physics.
- bowling: the hand and the ball return are gone, so nothing sits between you and the lane. Aiming with a Mac trackpad now goes the way you push it, and a sideways swipe no longer throws the ball by accident.
- stones: the stone now reads your whole flick. Power, how flat you let go, and a snap of sideways spin at the very end all matter, and getting all three right can carry it to twenty-five skips. Most throws still land four to nine. No new meters, no score, just the lake.
- site: the about page now points to the other things being built around here.
Aug 27, 2026
- pedal: the cars and dog walkers now lean with the hills instead of against them.
Aug 26, 2026
- New game: blip. A neon guitar pick against endless waves of invaders. You only steer: scroll, drag, or keep a finger on it. The pick leans the way you move and its shots angle with it, so lean into the edges to reach the stragglers. Clear a wave, catch your breath, tap for the next one. It has tunes.
Aug 23, 2026
- New game: bowling. Roll from right behind the ball down an oiled lane. Drag sideways to aim, fling up to throw, and let a late flick put hook on it. Coming into the pocket at an angle is what carries all ten.
- bowling: pins knocked toward the gutter now topple instead of standing on air, and the ball deflects off every pin it hits instead of plowing straight through the rack. Heavy revs hold their line better.
- bowling: the lane no longer looks a mile long on a phone held upright. Closer camera, same sixty feet, same physics.
- bowling: aiming with a mouse or trackpad no longer snaps back to the middle when you throw. The hook is an upside-down J: swipe up, then flick sideways right at the end. Whichever way you flick is the way it hooks.
- bowling: the share button now shows after every ball, not just strikes and spares.
Aug 22, 2026
- pedal: the cars and dog walkers were toy sized next to the rider. They are now drawn to the same scale as the bike, sit on the far side of the road, and lean with the hills.
- park: finishing a mile means something now. A brass-capped mile post waits at the end of the loop, and walking through it sends up a drift of glowing motes with a chime. The dog gets excited too.
Aug 21, 2026
- lift: every set you bank now adds to a running score that keeps climbing for as long as you keep lifting. Best is your highest session score, and your reps all time are still tallied underneath.
- football: your score now keeps climbing across every make in a session instead of resetting each throw. Best is your highest session total, and every throw you have ever made is tallied underneath.
Aug 17, 2026
- New game: park. A one mile loop with your dog, first person. Scroll to walk, greet everyone you pass, and wait while the dog stops to mark the lamp posts.
- all games: the share button now sticks around for a full 15 seconds after you bank, instead of disappearing the moment you move again.
- site: a share button on the front page too, for sending the whole place to somebody.
- football: the sweet spot is much tighter. Perfect throws are rare again, and doinks stay special.
Aug 16, 2026
- New game: marshmallow. Toast one over a campfire at night. Scroll down to lower it toward the flames, back off before it burns, and fan out the fire if it catches. No meter, judge it by colour.
- marshmallow: campers now put in orders. Light, golden, charred, or extra charred right at the edge of catching fire. Fill the order to keep a streak going. Greed loses the marshmallow.
- marshmallow: the woods came alive. Fireflies, moths, drifting mist, wind gusts, settling logs, shooting stars, bats, an owl, a neighbouring camp across the way, and something that walks out of the dark and turns to look right at you.
Aug 15, 2026
- all games: lifetime tallies. Every spin, flip, throw, rep, and pet you have ever made is now counted forever, right under your best.
- all games: share buttons everywhere. Bank a score and brag it: "I've flipped 370 cups on scrollerderby, high score 900. Can you beat it?"
Aug 14, 2026
- New game: doom. Doomscroll an endless fake feed while life passes by the window.
- New game: stones. Skip a flat stone across a sunset lake. Zen, no score, just skips.
- New game: yo-yo. Throw it down, let it sleep, snap the catch before the spin dies.
- all games: matching buttons on every game, a volume slider on desktop, and the rules now greet you when a game opens.
- site: scrollerderby can now be installed like an app. On iPhone, tap Share then Add to Home Screen.
- football: throws now feel identical on every screen size, plus cafeteria scenery: tacos on the tray, kids at the table, a teacher on patrol.
- cat: bliss now lasts until the purr fully fades, and the whimper-swat lands mid-nod-off.
- pedal: bunny hop (flick up), day/night cycle with clouds, birds, stars, and fireflies, plus quieter passing cars.
- site: cleaner look for the hub and about pages.
Aug 13, 2026
- New game: football. Flick a paper football through the goalposts, first person from the cafeteria table.
- New game: cat. Pet the cat, build the purr, don't overdo it.
- flip cup: better clatter sounds.
- all games: fixed page titles overlapping the buttons on phones.
Aug 12, 2026
- New game: lift. Cable pulldowns, lower it clean, grow the arms.
